- What is Areté?
- Areté is a Barcelona-based wellness and lifestyle world with two sides. Areté Society is a private women's society offering curated wellness experiences, personal development and meaningful connection in Barcelona. Areté Studio designs wellness experiences and events for brands, hotels, companies and communities.
- Who is Areté for?
- Areté Society is for women living in or visiting Barcelona who care about well-being, movement, personal growth, culture and good taste — founders, executives, creatives and students alike. It is a curated community rather than an open one, so that the quality of the experiences and the connections inside it is protected.
- How does the Private List work?
- Membership begins with an application to the Private List. You share who you are, what you do and what you are looking for through Areté. Every application is read personally and reviewed before invitations are released. If selected, you receive a personal welcome and priority access to upcoming Areté experiences in Barcelona.
- Where do Areté gatherings take place?
- Areté gatherings take place in Barcelona, in private and thoughtfully chosen spaces across neighbourhoods such as Gràcia, Eixample, Sarrià and Poblenou — studios, apartments, galleries, hotels and rooftops. Retreats take place beyond the city, along the Catalan coast and countryside.
- When is the next gathering?
- The next Areté gathering takes place in Barcelona in Fall 2026. The date, venue and full programme are revealed exclusively to the women on the waitlist.
- What kind of experiences does Areté create?
- Wellness and movement experiences such as pilates and breathwork, life design and personal development conversations, cultural experiences around food, art and design, curated retreats, and wellness networking dinners for women in Barcelona.
- Can international women join?
- Yes. Women who travel to Barcelona regularly, who are relocating, or who split their time between cities are welcome to apply. Experiences currently take place in Barcelona, and Areté is built to travel.
- Is Areté only for women in Barcelona?
- Areté Society is rooted in Barcelona and most experiences happen there, but membership is not limited to residents. Areté Studio also works with brands and hospitality partners outside Barcelona and across Spain.
