A Wellness Weekend in Barcelona
Two days of movement, water, art and long tables — written as an itinerary you can actually keep.

Barcelona is small enough to do well in forty-eight hours and dense enough to ruin if you overplan. This itinerary assumes two things: that you would rather do four things properly than nine badly, and that you will walk.
Everything below is real, currently open and within reach of the centre. Book the baths and any class in advance; the rest can be decided on the morning.
Saturday morning — move, then eat
Begin with a reformer or mat class in Eixample or Gràcia. Studios such as Heltia, Salut al Quadrat or PILAT3S all sit within a short walk of good coffee.
Afterwards, Enric Granados is the correct street for a slow breakfast — pedestrianised, shaded, and lined with terraces. Brunch & Cake and Alsur Café are both nearby; Nomad and Satan's Coffee Corner are the choice if coffee matters more than plates.
Saturday afternoon — water
AIRE Ancient Baths Barcelona
El BornA thermal bath circuit inside a restored eighteenth-century building beside Passeig de Picasso. Candlelight, warm and cold pools, and no phones. Book ahead.
43 The Spa, Hotel Arts
Port OlímpicA spa on the upper floors of the beachfront tower, with treatment rooms looking out over the Mediterranean. The alternative if you would rather have a treatment than a circuit.
Saturday evening — culture, then dinner
Fundació Antoni Tàpies in Eixample and Fundació Joan Miró on Montjuïc both reward an hour rather than an afternoon. Montjuïc has the advantage of the walk down at dusk.
Dinner in Barcelona begins late. Treat 9pm as early, and let it run.
Sunday — market, sea, nothing
Mercat de Sant Antoni
Sant AntoniA restored market hall with a Sunday book and antiques market alongside the produce stalls — the most local of the city's Sunday rituals.
Mercat de Santa Caterina
Ciutat VellaWorth walking to for the undulating tiled roof alone, and a calmer alternative to La Boqueria.
Bogatell Beach
PoblenouThe city beach locals actually use. Walkable from Poblenou, and the right place to end a weekend doing very little.
